Wonderful Peace
Peace.
I remember as a child the concept of peace was somewhat of a given in my life. It was not something to obtain or protect or fight for. My dad would sing this song to me, “Wonderful Peace”, as he tucked me into bed and somehow I would sense the gentle peace of the Creator.
Little did I know how easily and quickly the reality of the world and of life can begin to strip away the sweet presence of peace.
I often find myself muddling through anxious thoughts to grasp on to peace.
I ponder what I must let go of to fall into peace.
I muster up my strength in resistance to protect peace.
This sweet song still holds such sweet tranquility as I sing it to my own children.
Even when my soul may be without comfort or rest, I am learning to allow the sweet Presence of Peace to overshadow all else.
I have no advice or wisdom or a step by step guide for myself or others to live in such peace. It is a great Mystery to discover- or perhaps just to simply accept . . .
Let go of . . .

Fall into Peace.
