Over death, over darkness, over troubleI have a confession: The sun is rising and I haven't gone to sleep yet.
One of the reasons I haven't slept is because I am going on a trip tomorrow (today) to Wyoming for my precious niece's (drive-in) graduation and every time I go on a trip I am like a kid at Christmas.
The other reason I haven't gone to sleep is because I am so captivated by the love of God.
THE LOVE OF GOD.
THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE LOVES YOU. THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE LOVES ME.
And the Creator of the Universe will do anything, ANYTHING! to meet us where we are and fill us with His unbelievable love so that this unbelievable love and compassion can spill out of us into the lives of others. (It really is that simple!)
Hours ago God reminded me of an old beautiful hymn about God's love (below) and then God reminded me of one of my favorite scriptures about God's love (below). I merged the song and the scripture together and created a song in the middle of the night and made a video of it in my laundry room (below.) It took 21 takes because I am an expert at being an amateur and it is still is pretty rough.
I don't care that it's rough. I don't care that it's rough because God loves me and you, even when we are rough. And I don't care that it's rough because I love God so incredibly much even though life is rough.
The Love of God . . . the unbelievable love of God. The love of God meets each and every one of us right where we are.

So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love.
