The Promise Still Stands

The Promise Still Stands . . .

. . . But today the Giants feel large. Barriers.

The little things feel like big things.

The leaves are brown and withered and the water source is difficult . . . Not as accessible as it once was.

The weeds have sprouted up so quickly. How am I to keep up?

The numbers don’t line up and the schedule is too tight.

I cannot be four places at once.

Rest and hustle and trust. Sometimes it feels like too much.

And yet, I know that I know that the promise still stands.

Even when the giants are giant and the well has run dry . . .

The Promise Still Stands.

“For the Lord, your God is bringing you into a good land, a land with streams, springs, and deep water sources, flowing in both valleys and hills . . . Where you will eat food without shortage, where you will lack nothing . . . When you eat, you will bless the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.” Deuteronomy 8:7,9,10
